So you may recall a little while ago I made a portrait of Bryant McGill. Well I wanted to send it to him so I decided to scan and send him a file instead, he may still get the original. I had to get a scanner printer for this and so now I'm the happy owner of a scanner printer which means I can sell prints! And since it's right in my own home I can be sure that the quality of the final prints are top notch! I have beautiful photo paper and everything. This will be fun. You can see the full sized image in the Portrait Gallery.
Greetings my fellow co-creators. I have returned from a journey I took to KY where I hung out with a group of Royals from the Royal Society. We enjoyed each other's company, ate food, and enjoyed some festivities. we also did some creative photography which was super fun and our friendships were deepened. I wish to encourage you to remember to take things lightly and have fun as often as you breathe because to me that is what life is about, making the best of things. Here are some photos of the fun we had together as well as a sketch I completed upon returning home.
When we come together our creative ideas tend to build off one another and things that would otherwise never have been conceived or even be possible... are simple and fun and manifest instantly. We had soo much fun and got a pretty good workout might I add!
For those who are curious I sketched this strait from my own mind with no reference. It is based on a character from a short film I worked on years ago called Alien Zupiter which actually never was completed. The character was called Nerm. This is a much creepier looking version as that character was cute. This is made with charcoal.
Hi all, yes I am in training in essence now. Studying methods and tools and techniques and soon to be platforms which I will use to create posters as well as poster videos. I'm enjoying it all and just doing what I feel to be most important in any given moment to move forward on this path I am on. I want to encourage you to join an online group call "The Royal Society" on Facebook which is a community of individuals helping each other to remember their inherent value and worth and dignity and encouraging one another through videos and commenting to be all they can in this life. I share many videos through this community and am also expanding beyond it, through it and into a sort of sister site called SimpleReminders.com which of course many of your know now I am employee to. I love them, I love their message, I love the opportunity and potential for growth for all. You can see my videos which are primarily informative in nature as I hope to help with people's journeys through their trials by telling of how I got through mine and what kinds of perspectives help me. I also share posters with my quotes for the same reason. I will share a couple here now but be sure to check out my FB page James Love Whitley - Creative Insights as well!
So it has been announced by Bryant McGill in the Royal Society on facebook and that makes it official. I am now officially employed as a Creative Designer and will be helping to produce content for SimpleReminders.com! I'm so stoked and proud of myself and grateful to Bryant and Jenni and Holly Kellums might I add, as she has been assessing my character as well and putting in good words for me, she is great. I will share what I can as time progresses in terms of how I am doing, and if you want to see my work be sure to check Simple Reminders FB page as at some point I will have been responsible for the videos on there. Right now I have to get settled in and work through any training necessary to be ready for the position. :D This is something I have been hoping for for months now!
Keep up to date about what going on in my world, creations, events and projects.
It's all HERE and NOW. You Expand, it Expresses.
