Also I discovered yesterday that I was shared on Simple Reminders again! Man I feel so lucky. I am just staying focused on my contributions to this world, trusting that all the rest that is required in order for me to make my contributions and to be the Free Spirit that I am (which itself is a gift) will come as needed. Always in a state of gratitude and gifting and trusting and abundance. Stay focused on what you know you are here for, let the rest go!
I have been pretty busy, mostly discussing possibilities with friends and potential clients. I have been getting allot of interest in my portraits and people are asking to have them done for various reasons. It is exciting and a definite signal to me that I am steadily moving forward in my career in a positive direction. I just want to express myself, create and live and adventurous, abundant life of friendship, connection and ever deepening connection to the Truth. Is that so much to ask? NO, it is happening and let me just say, until we commit to it we are committing to NOT having it.
Pretty exciting times, Bryant McGill and Jenni Young saw my portrait video of Jenni and commented both on Twitter and on my Public page, sharing the video publicly on their page which was super sweet and very touching. I've got proof see see! Thank you Bryant and Jenni, and also want to thank everyone else who have shown their support and belief in me. Thank You!
I now present you with my latest performance which I cleverly named to get as much traffic as possible. Actually no I just thought it made the video make more sense. It is highly unstructured but was allot of fun. :)
Finally I finished this old piece of mine and I feel so very accomplished and relieved that now I can move on to others like it! I've already begun some prep work for the portraits I will be doing of Jenni Young and Bryant. Just sketched with a #2 pencil and all while holding the camera which was quite a task so I'm impressed that I was able to get somewhat of a likeness! Everyone who has seen it so far loves it as do I, but I know the full color one will top it by leaps and bounds. I just need to get the paper for it which means I'll be paying a stop over at Cheap Joe's Art stuff. And in case you were wondering I am still typing right now because I want to fully fill the space right above Jenni's image. Haa! A video first.
And just in cast you were wondering what kind of paper I used it is shown to the right. It's got a orange/beige tint. The photo's you see of the sketch actually has an Instagram filter so it doesn't quite represent the true contrast.
I have been singing a little but I am having to choose how I spend my time wisely as my neck area heals. I can't be upright all day though I was able to be vertical most of this day. I'm happy I just need it to heal completely. I may have an energy healer look at it so that this repeating injury can come to an end.
I got the idea and can't wait to begin on doing portraits again. This time I eliminated some of the things that bothered me about the portraits I used to do in the past and refined my vision before I start doing them. I have a much better idea of how I want them to look whereas before I just kind of winged it and did what I liked in the moment. Which is fun too, but I want to create more thematic work with a somewhat consistent style in the body of work. Here is some prep work for what is to come.
I also got some practice singing in today bu it has been hard. I hurt my neck over a week ago now I believe and it's been very difficult to do very much. I have been as busy as I possibly can be, struggling from time to time with frustration and anguish from the pain. Pain is so incredibly debilitating and distraction so I finally get why someone with chronic pain would have such trouble making positive changes in their life, I can empathize.
This portrait I have been working on for way too long and need to finish it already! lol It's a testament to the beauty of wrinkles.
Okay so this art has nothing to do with fathers but I did happen to create it today. Getting back into drawing a bit, hope I can keep it going. I have been so focused on getting my finances right my mind hasn't been able to focus as sharply on what I would rather be focused on. I don't want to complain I just want to create. So I will, what ever else is going on in my life I will sketch, I will enjoy things I love to do.
I have also created a poster for the public from a realization. Here's the full quote, not featured on the poster. "People are addicted to energy, and in an individual there is no stronger energy than Passion. This quality creates certain recognizable patterns of behavior that if you exhibit will draw in allot of attention, whether you are actually Passionate or not." Also getting back in touch with what I love about art and what keeps me interested. I am essentially RE-CREATING in art what I love about life, what I love imagining and playing in. In other words if I could change anything about my life right now with magical quickness and be fully immersed in it for a little while, THAT is what I will enjoy creating on paper. Creating on paper or in any medium is a way for us to shed the limitations of this world and immerse ourselves in imaginary experiences that actually begin to feel real!
Happy Fathers Day and may you be the father to your own creations and Passionate Expressions!
Also in line with the previous post of challenging assumed identities I came to a greater clarification about who I ACTUALLY am and that is connected with the energy behind the five senses. I mad a poster for that as well as one for Bryant and Jenni.
This morning I woke up and went outside and experienced a sense of magic from the simplest thing. The drops of water that rested on the Japanese maple tree leaves in our front yard and it made it very clear to me, "The beauty that I see is a reflection of me." Meaning if I am in an ugly place inside I will completely overlook the beauty of the world around me but when I am connected to the beauty I am I will see it in the world, and thus I have re-cennected to myself. I will make a poster of this today!
I have been really deeply contemplating the ideas we attach our identity to and noticing how they limit our perceptions of who we truly are. Still am, as I am feeling less identified with them and frankly a little fed up with them. I am not my name and I am not a set of patterns, these are creations and what I am was NEVER created. Some kind of shift is imminent! See image below for more!
Also I have begun helping my Royal Brothers and Sisters with their public image and logos etc. It is fun to help each other and you know as Bryant McGill says "You cannot isolate your way to prosperity." All success comes through other people is another thing he says. Because it's not coming from your chair or your possessions but your interactions with others! Cheers!
I have recently employed a technique that I learned from my friend Benny Bleacher where I post to instagram and from there share to other platforms as well. I like how it links them all up and I will be experimenting with it more in the future as it seems to be a great way to grow my networks and save time all at once. I found some old business partners on instagram and shared some of the work I created for them on my instagram and facebook, see below.
I also have continued with something I started a couple weeks ago and recorded part five of Bryant McGills 'Voice of Reason' and added it the the Royal Society Media group which anyone can join to check out what the Royals are creating and co-creating Here. Eventually I will be uploading those recordings to my YouTube as well for a broader audience!
I have also been getting back into a site called deviantart after it wasn't working at all for the longest time. I'm not sure why it's all of the sudden working again but I am glad! I will also be joining other artist collectives so if I forget after a while do remind me! :D I somewhat recently added my dragon book keeper to my gallery which, if you missed it here it is again.
Also I have recently talked with an old friend about collaborating on some projects together involving Explainer videos and so that may work out so keep an eye out for that as well! Look up Explainer videos on YouTube if you don't know what they are.
So happy to be in the full swing of things again! I cannot stress enough the importance of getting organized! Best wishes to all of your creative endeavors and please do share what you are working on in the comments! Cheers
Okay so my website is going through some revamping as I felt it was a bit confusing and I want it to be as strait forward and beautiful as possible. I had three separate blogs before and now I've reduced it to one single blog which you don't have to navigate to but rather see immediately upon coming to the site. So I am going to just keep this one up to date on all of my creative adventures rather than having a photo blog over here and a book blog over there and an art blog... It's ultimately all related to my creativity and projects I am working on so it makes more sense to KEEP IT SIMPLE!
Today I would like to share a collaboration I did with a friend and fellow Royal at BeRoyal.com. We are both singers and I just love doing duets so it was a pleasure getting to sing with her.
Keep up to date about what going on in my world, creations, events and projects.
It's all HERE and NOW. You Expand, it Expresses.
