Okay so last night I woke up in at about 3am and a concept came to me which I wrote down. It started like this.
"A good idea is really only a good idea if it is inspired, otherwise it is just misguided cleverness."
This led to a concept which in no way would I turn into a religion or make it seem as though it is set in stone fact, but it makes sense at the same time. That is that you can view the human as three concetric circles or three layers. The Core is the soul which says "I know what is right and good here!" and it speaks through passion and excitement. The layer around that is the mind which has a habit of limiting how much and in what way information gets through and thus how much we are willing to act on the soul guidance. The outermost layer is thus the body.
The mind can also be thought of as fear. (Fear distorts excitement and turns it into anxiety) I was tempted to call it ego, but to me ego is just the recognition of existing as an individuated aspect of Spirit, and that is not at fault. It is simply the patterns that are created in the mind that try to protect the self that can get in the way.
So our task then is simply to recognize when we feel the signals from the soul and recognize when the mind cuts in with it's fears. Then if we want to live Joyfully aligned to our inner most being we need to decide that the mind is the way of the past and the soul is the way of now. We need to act swiftly on those impulses when we recognize them. Act quickly because the mind will try to protect status quo, it is where it is used to deriving security. But I've recognized it is time for our security to be derived from within rather than the familiar. The familiar maybe has helped the mind feel safe but once again, it is really depriving our soul and when we bypass the mind with immediately acting on those inspired impulses, without doubting it, we are retraining ourselves to trust in our infinite self instead of old predictable patterns of behavior.
A couple more notes. Either we can bypass with immediate action or we can re-train our mind to think in ways that are aligned with our true self (or both). This second option is the long and round about way. It is the way that is gentle and slow, and it is trying to avoid any bumps along the way. The way of the warrior (if your want to call it that) is to go ahead and make the most of the bumps. Because in truth if we haven't aligned our vibration to positivity we will inevitably create not so great outcomes at times, however we don't derive our sense of satisfaction from the results but in the fact that we acted on the call. Thus it is an internal process through and through.
So when you get the idea to say something inspired but your mind says "Oh but what if... (eek!)" and you see this and do it anyway, prepare to be surprised by the outcome but also be delighted that you bypassed reason for Joy. A good idea is only a good idea when it is inspired because then it is aligned with your Soul which knows what is good for you and for all vs. just something that will boost your egoic self. "Oh look at me I'm so clever, no one else thought of this!" That will only take you deeper into elevating yourself in a deviant way above others vs. help you honor everyone including yourself.
All things creative.
