They actually I find work together and one cannot exclude the other, naturally.
Experience to have Self Knowledge
Know thy Self to Know the Truth (thus)
Experience leads to Knowledge/Truth
We are the sum total of all of our Experiences, to integrate all of our experiences (remember/own/accept) is to know the Truth. Each experience gave us wisdom because it was a direct experience of a predominance of one side of polarity or the other, this unavoidably will give a perspective of the universe. With all possible angles of the universe in our being we have a total understanding of cause and effect and are wise enough to create whole universes of like kind from our totality vantage point (the timeless aspect of self that sees through ALL of our incarnations. The Creator/Artist beyond the Physical)
This all suggests that we make it a high priority to EXPERIENCE life rather than "get life right", as successes and failures both inherently activate us and lead to greater self knowledge and even fulfillment when they are embraced as information loaded, growth inducing experiences. This is a way to the desired Truth, this links the two inextricably. Living life to the fullest, thus, is a journey through experience into knowledge.
Imagine if you will that instead of having a bucket list of things you'd like to do (which is really only there because you think those things represent living life to the fullest) you just made new experiences in general a priority? Now imagine you could get a photo of every new experience you accepted into your life. How much simpler would this be than to feel you have this long list you have to fulfill over the course of your life? What if living to the fullest just means making the most of each day/moment/week/OPPORTUNITY? Then all you would need is to recognize new opportunities and realize "HEY, THIS is how I can live TODAY to the fullest!" Or if it is a commitment that will last a week or a month or a year or more you can acknowledge it likewise, as long as it excites you you'll know it has allot of potential in it.
I came to this thought process because I was wanting to harmonize the inner conflict I had between deciding to just enjoy life to the fullest vs. my insatiable thirst for truth. This shows that they are inextricably linked. Your living life to the fullest is the very thing that feeds your thirst for truth because LIFE is what contains the answers to your questions! It is a vast mirror and you need to see your reflection in all things to see your true self. It is different for everyone, which experiences are required, but for sure each experience that each individual needs exists as a potential for that specific individual and so the idea remains intact:
"Live your potential and you will find your wisdom and knowledge awakening."
However don't live for successes alone, but for Experiences because whether you fail or succeed at any given thing you cannot fail to have had an experience that will bring you knowledge and wisdom. I'm going to turn this on myself now in how I speak of it, because it is personal. I myself commit to experiences, I accept all outcomes and will make the best of each one. In my previous blog book I made lists of things I wanted to create and I don't think there's anything wrong about that, this entry is really just about resolving a particular conflict in my own psyche. Indeed, sometimes the most exciting and wise thing IS to make a list and begin working on some of those items. For now, it's about experiences, so rather than a long list of experiences I am just going to have one major one at a time, THE most exciting prospect essentially. The other things in my life will be mere necessities and will be handled as they must.
In the Spirit of new experiences I have made sure I put in some time in getting my resume to look impressive to prospective Employers. I've never liked the idea of having a nine to five but I want to be open to the possibility that it could be a valuable experience for me to have more of. In addition, I am updating and refreshing my Portfolio so that means finishing up old incomplete art works, organizing what I have done and brushing up on my skills. Here are some speed paints I've done the past couple days.
All things creative.
