Here's a little sculpture I recently completed. It was usual in some ways and unusual for other reasons. Usual because I've done sculptures with similar amounts of detail but unusual in that it has two characters in one, which was a unique challenge for me.
I found myself at a familiar point of nearly giving up but since I had commited to doing one hour of sculpting every day, regardless of how much progress was made that lightened the load and made it more casual and fun. I recommend this technique if you find yourself being overly critical of yourself or in a pattern of starting allot of project and finishing few. Just commit to doing a little every day and do not concern yourself with how much progress is made. This is about just putting in some time and enjoying the process. I felt very proud that I completed this and moved beyond one of my old holdups. As long as you are making progress you are making progress and that's better than not making progress, so just put in a little time each day and don't worry about how it's looking progress wise.
All things creative.
