We must have the courage to assume the identity that we strive to be. The greater the shift the more exhilarating and scary the transition seems. It is a death of the old, limited, false self. For what is death really? How about identity loss? When all we thought ourselves to be vanishes. That is totally death. But with death of the lies comes the realization of the truth. When we die we finally get to see who we really are. Well to experience this without "croaking" we simply die lie by lie. Which is done by going for all those things we thought too great for us. Too far to reach out of our comfort zones. It is totally standing up to death and transcending it.
It invigorates us because in a way we are being born anew, embodying more life force, more consciousness. Life becomes new and our minds have to incorporate a great identity to include this new thing you've claimed. We can stay comfortable and dull or we can step through excitement into those things that frighten us because of their radiance and how they challenge the lies of how little we have thought of ourselves. So we keep our greatness at bay when we try to maintain a sense of congruency of identity by making tiny little changes over a long period of time.
But what if we could take leaps? What if even though we've never done anything so radical before what if we just JUMPED into an amazing new experience and totally owned it? The old self fears this because very suddenly it's whole reality falls apart. It is impossible to believe you can't if you just did!
All things creative.
